About

Along the east shore of Nameless Lake on beautiful Manitoulin Island, 20 waterfront properties are located. Designed for those who treasure privacy and quiet in a natural environment, each waterfront lot features a western view of the shared wilderness preserve across the water.

Nameless Lake is privately owned, as are the 600 acres of land that surround the lake. It is spring-fed and there are no overland streams running in or out. Access to this motorless lake is exclusive to property owners, their families and guests. There is no provision for legal public access which allows the property owners to collectively act as stewards of this eco-system, and enjoy their property secure in the knowledge that it will remain beautiful, natural, peaceful, private, and valuable when it comes time for re-sale.

Property owners automatically become members in the Nameless Lake Preservation Association (NLPA), a non-profit corporation that owns Nameless Lake and 7450 feet (2200m) of undeveloped shoreline that surround it, as well as 200 acres (8.9 ha) of conservation land on the north, south and west sides of the lake. In this way, NLPA members share ownership of all the property touching the shores of Nameless Lake and can ensure its preservation.

Through the NLPA, owners collaboratively manage the lake and conservation lands. The association’s bylaws and rules outline agreed-upon protective measures which allow residents to rest assured that their neighbours, like themselves, value certain practices that enhance enjoyment and good stewardship of this unique property.
